Biography
Rob is a London-born and based pianist, musical director, and all-round keys enthusiast whose passion for music runs deep. Starting piano at just 4 years old and performing regularly at church from the age of 12 allowed him to develop a strong foundation in live performance and a genuine love for connecting with people through music.
He achieved Grade 8 Piano with Distinction after studying classically at the Centre for Young Musicians during his teenage years, he built a strong foundation in music theory, harmony, and sight-reading. Since then, he has been constantly pushing himself to grow and evolve as a musician, diving into contemporary performance and exploring a wide range of styles, from contemporary and synth pop to R&B, hip-hop, and beyond through his studies at the Academy of Contemporary Music.
As a versatile player, Rob has performed at numerous festivals and events, worked as a musical director and bandleader, and collaborated with a variety of independent London artists. They’ve also recorded as a session musician at Metropolis Studios, bringing creativity and energy into every project they’re part of.
Rob has co-written a number of songs with singer-songwriters, bringing musical ideas to life by helping shape arrangements, harmonies, and chord progressions that support and elevate each artist’s unique voice.
Whether laying down keys in the studio, leading a band on stage or behind the scenes arranging and directing, Rob combines technical command with real musical sensitivity, bringing an infectious enthusiasm and a deep-rooted passion for music that shines through in everything he does.
